EnergyPlus Glass Packages

EnergyPlus glass from Gentek is specially formulated with insulating properties that provide superior energy savings in cold regions with difficult heating requirements.

• Double-glazed EnergyPlus glass units (which are standard on 3000 and 4000 Series windows) feature one surface of Low-E glass, insulating argon gas and Super Spacer® structural foam spacer system
  spacer for an excellent Energy Rating (ER)

Solar Shield Glass Packages

Solar Shield glass creates increased solar control to help create consistent indoor temperatures in regions with hot summers and cold winters

BarrierXP Glass Packages - 70 and 80 Series Windows

Gentek 70 and 80 Series windows utilize our BarrierXP glass packages, along with the EnergyPlus Quattro glass package.  BarrierXP glass packages combines multi-layered, low-emissivity (Low-E) glass, argon gas and the Quanex® Super Spacer® technology

BarrierXP combines multi-layer low-emissivity (Low-E) glass and argon gas, along with the Super Spacer® structural foam spacer system, to achieve outstanding energy savings.

 

Super Spacer® structural foam spacer system combines a structural foam spacer with a seal of hot melt butyl to create a “warm” low-conductive edge. This non-metal design eliminates any metal-to-glass contact, thereby increasing the edge of the glass temperature for a highly effective thermal barrier.

 

Barrier XP ThermD which is U-shaped in its design, supports seal longevity and gas retention by allowing the glass and sealant to move with the normal expansion and contraction of the window due to temperature changes. The flexibity eliminates the stress on the sealant and spacer by allowing the components to work with cohesive structural integrity.

BarrierXPsc provides exceptional solar control and thermal insulation without compromising the view. This innovative glass system combines Low-E glass with a third metallic, vacuum-deposition layer to selectively filter out the sun’s penetrating heat and destructive UV rays. The third layer of protection makes BarrierXPsc one of the most effective glass systems for achieving solar control, outperforming many soft-coat Low-E glass products that typically feature just two layers of Low-E.

BarrierXPsc Select is a design distinction you won’t see, but will clearly appreciate. Rather than using a dark tint or extra-thick glass like many solar control products, it incorporates multiple, virtually imperceptible silver layers that counteract the effects of the solar spectrum, yet allow natural visible light into your home.
